I have see this countless times sitting lonely on the supermarket shelves where smoked herrings,slabs of salmon and oysters sit alongside.It always seemed so strange...so strange I did not want to try it.However,last weekend I couldnt decide what to have for a quick lunch, and picked up one of em babies
What are them?Herring rolled in sweet vinegar and onions.Very wonderfully strange,although I still can't imagine what are you supposed to eat it with.I just picked at it whilst having my Mama instant tomyum noodle. All the while screaming,"Aiya,rollmop!" with Bacon laughing his head off.Now,who's the strange one?

Hee hee. Roll mops. So it's just some sort of pickled fish right? How does it taste?
Quite bizzare.I can't make head or tails of it, and cant decide if I like it.I've never had pickled fish before -unless you count salted fish.
I won't buy it again - seeing that there's another piece in the fridge
