The pop king vs. the dance princess
Some says opposite attracts. Put together a happy pop fan and a trance head non-commercial music lover and you have us.People always think that it's the female who's into all this poppy happy girlband boyband thing.I really wonder why.
The last time I really enjoyed commercial music was when NKOTB (for you youngesters, it is New Kids on The Blocks) was in fashion complete with the curry-puff hairstyle. From then, I drifted around seattle grunge, alternative, pseudo rock, french pop and then I stumbled into lyric-less songs, and I had roughly stayed there ever since.I must admit, the one thing that pushed me to dance music/chillout was the fact that I got my heart broken and it wouldn't heal as long as I listend to all those commercial songs which always speaks of love unrequited.
So it's with great shame that I announce:
The Bacons are going to watch Robbie Williams! Complete with chantings of "lobbie, lobbie oh maw gawd lobbie!"
Hahaha.

A concert that nearly did not happen, we picked up tickets earlier this morning from the post office. For the past 8 months, Bacon have been announcing that we have concert tickets for the Sunday gig. Because we had extra tickets to sell, I checked the concert dates, and realised that Robbie was playing on Friday and Saturday. Bacon being bacon, still insisted that he had tickets for Sunday.
So imagine our shock when we realised that we had received tickets for FRIDAY. Not even Saturday, but FRIDAY. And gates open at 2pm. What am I supposed to do, walk out at 1.30pm for lunch and don't return? It's just Bacon being tyically careless - I checked his email, and he did indeed get an email last november that we had 4 confirmed tickets for Robbie on FRIDAY. If there was any amendments to the dates ect, bacon was to email them back immediately. And this was back in NOVEMBER. We've sold the other two tickets, happily announcing to his friend that it's for Saturday.
After some running around, Bacon manage to confirm that Lobbie is only coming on stage at 8.30pm. However, I can't wait for Basement Jaxx to come on at 6.30 as the supporting..woohoo! I remember watching Bush in concert, but enjoying Moby more as the supporting act (yes, back in the stone ages when Moby still played supporting). Basement Jaxx rocks, so hopefully I would be able to rush there in time for 6.30.
Everybody now, "lobbie, lobbie, lobbie….."
